Hi Lesli! This is an amazing adventure you are offering to the hobby. I did ceramics as a teenager and miss it very much. My mom made porcelain dolls and I did everything but dolls. I even used to china paint my ceramics. We cast in ceramic slip and porcelain slip, cleaned out own green-ware, etc., though we never had any luck getting a horse done. I also competed at the Anaheim Doll and Ceramic show for years winning Best in Show with a china painted porcelain rabbit on year. I’ve been wanting to get back into ceramics for years, but I just don’t have the space (and frankly electricity is so expensive here, firing kilns isn’t a great idea for the budget!) But, the medallion size and smaller pieces might just work. I would love more info about small kilns and some good quality under-glazes and supplies. Thank you!
